Let's
Go Turkey Hunting!
Excellent South Carolina dates still available!!
Turkey hunting begins on March 15th and runs through May 1st in the Low Country
of South Carolina. Currently at Bang's Paradise Valley Hunting Club we are finishing up our turkey scouting efforts and welcoming hunters into camp for this weekends opener. The outlook is grand with many flocks utilizing our grounds already and more soon to arrive as the usual spring break up continues. We expect again this year we will have many gobbling packed adventures to send home with you that all begin on our managed lands. Prime Booking dates in the first and second week of April are still available. Call our guides and ask why you should hunt Bang's PVHC the first and second week of this April.
Our hunters will again have access
to over 10,000 acres of prime turkey woods this spring. Properties are expertly managed for maximum turkey population and gobbler numbers. We absolutelyDO NOT over harvest our grounds and like our guests to ensure a trophy hunting future by passing on immature gobblers (jakes). We have plenty of longbeards for you this year, and want to have plenty of longbeards in the future for you as well. We feel that hunters booking a three day hunt that are willing to hunt hard with our expert guides stand an excellent chance of bagging a trophy South Carolina gobbler. Many have multiple opportunties espescially as the latter season comes in and hens go to nesting.

One of the highest priorities of having a great and successful hunt is having
the right guide. We pride ourselves in having the best around. Each of them have
a great knowledge of turkey hunting and calling, sincerely enjoy what they do,
and truly enjoy showing you the best time ever while on a guided turkey hunt.
They are very familiar with the properties, have excellent personalities, and
have way more calls than they can tote the woods at one time. We are very proud
of each of them and consider them part of our family. I will warn you ahead though,
one throws his hat down if you miss the gobbler he calls in, and that happened
to one hunter last year 5 times in 4 days. And he is coming back this year, and
asked for the same guide.
Matt's 1st Bird |
Since Paradise Valley has been open we have not pushed the turkey hunting. We
wanted to build up the population so we had plenty of birds to hunt, could take
a good number of them each year, and still have plenty of birds to hunt for years
to come. We have seen the numbers grow from just a few to our deer hunters seeing
as many as 50 birds in one sitting this past fall. We have not hunted over 4 hunters
per day for a long time, but feel we are at a point now, where 6 to 8 hunters
can hunt each day with out over hunting the acres we have. Also, we
plan to give the option this spring to our hunters of trying to take a wild hog
in the afternoon instead of sitting on chuffa patches. We try not to push the
birds in the afternoons because we all know what that does to the birds for the
next morning! Again, here at Paradise Valley we use every resource to make your
hunt the most enjoyable and successful experience possible.
